The Solana wrap: two tokens carry the ECX name on Solana, and neither of them is ECX yet.
Two different Solana tokens are called wrapped eCash. wbECX is the beta practice coin, wrapped 1:1 by the project's own bridge and tradeable today. wECX is the official wrapped token: 10,000 minted, offered at $10 from 12 October, and — in the project's own words — not unwrappable until after the 31 October fork. Both are a third party holding coins for you: the bridge is custodial software run off one mnemonic and one Solana keypair, the mint authority on both tokens is live, and the project describes the pool as a way of being 'listed' on a DEX without asking anyone's permission. Nothing here is part of the eCash protocol.

This page is vibe-coded. It was written by an AI agent, it has not been reviewed or audited by anyone, and it can be wrong — including about the token addresses, the fees, the ratios, the prices, the deadlines and the bridge.
There is no official specification for the wrap. The project has published code and a note on ecash.com, not a document: no audit, no redemption terms, no published procedure for turning wECX into ECX. Almost everything here comes from that code, from live on-chain data, and from the project's own Telegram groups. Treat it as a signpost, never as a source.
Do not follow wrap, bridge, swap or migration guides from random websites, videos, chats, DMs or strangers. Nobody legitimate needs your seed phrase or private key to hand you coins. This site is not affiliated with the eCash or Drivechain developers, nothing here is financial advice, and a wrapped token is somebody else holding the real thing.
The wrap, in facts
| What it is | A custodial token issuer on Solana plus a DEX pool — not a sidechain, not a drivechain, not part of the protocolBIP-300 drivechains are a different thing entirely. Bjørn Olav Jarlborg's Solana drivechain (slot 8, 1 SOL = 1 bECX, live on betanet since 3 October) is a sidechain; this page is about the token wrap. |

| Peg-in (ECX → wbECX) | You request an order; the backend returns a fresh ECX deposit address and pays you amount − fee in wbECX from its own treasuryFrom the project's backend README. A background poller watches for the deposit; one user reported the wrap completing after 3 confirmations on 13 October. |
| Peg-out (wbECX → ECX) | You send wbECX to the treasury with a Solana Pay reference key; the backend matches by that reference and sends ECX backSolana has no per-order address scheme, so matching is done by reference key. Known frontend issue: the Solana Pay QR does not scan in the Phantom or Solflare in-app scanner — the phone's camera or tapping it works. |
| Fee | 1% on each direction, as the code shipsThe README calls PEGIN_FEE_BPS and PEGOUT_FEE_BPS "placeholder defaults, not a reviewed fee policy", and records the team's working target as 20 bps in / 100 bps out — not applied. Paul Sztorc, 13 October: "the wrapper earns 1% and the orca pool also earns fees". |
| Minimums | 500 sat minimum deposit by default; effectively no maximumMAX_DEPOSIT_AMOUNT_SAT defaults to 21M ECX ("effectively unbounded"). The frontend offers an optional refund address for deposits that cannot be bridged — without one, "a deposit that can't be bridged just sits for manual review". |
| Beta pECX → real ECX | The burn is guaranteed at 1000:20 (1/50). The wrapped route is notbuy.ecash.com lists "Release Candidate 2 (Beta) — Redeemable 1000:20". Coinholio, 10 October: "real burn is guaranteed 1000:20, wrapped swap will depend on market value of beta vs mainnet". |
| wECX redemption | Not possible before 31 October; 1:1 after, stated in the group, with no published procedurePaul Sztorc, 12 October: "it will NOT be possible to 'unwrap' this token, until *after* Oct 31. Since it is not possible to send any real ECX to anyone, until after they are all created (via the hardfork event)." Asked again on 14 October whether wECX becomes switchable 1:1 at launch, the answer in the group was "Yes" and a pointer to Paul's pinned post. No official redemption page exists. |

Freeze authority is null on both mints, so no one can freeze your account — but whoever holds that key can mint unlimited new supply at any time. Independent rug checks flag exactly this ("mint authority is active"). |
| The pools | wbECX/USDC on Orca (created 30 September) and wECX/USDC on Orca (created 12 October)The project's own guide says Orca is the one it actually used, that a plain full-range constant-product pool was the plan, and that most wallets route through Jupiter anyway. |
| The third token | The pump.fun "$eCash" memecoin — not created by the projectbuy.ecash.com: "Someone has created an 'eCash' memecoin on Solana. We did not create this, and we have no control over it." The project treats creator fees as purchases at $30 a coin and lets the top 15 holders redeem once — see ecash.com/sol-token. |
| Price | No official price. The private sale was $30–$40 a coinbuy.ecash.com, July 2026. The Solana prices are whatever the pools say; the project has asked the group to stop posting price talk. |
| Where it is documented | github.com/ecash-com/wrapped-ecx (MIT) and ecash.com/wrap_info.txtThree parts: create the mint, run the bridge, create the pool. There is no specification, no audit, no redemption terms and no source of truth beyond the code and the group. |
What the wrap actually is
ECX mainnet does not exist until the fork on 31 October, so nothing on Solana can be backed by real ECX yet. That is why there are two wrapped tokens instead of one, and why the project calls the whole thing a rehearsal.
The wrap is not a bridge in the protocol sense. It is a service that holds coins for you: an ECX wallet and a Solana wallet, controlled by the operator, that pays out a token it already minted. The project published the software (and the token) openly, but the peg is a promise backed by a treasury balance, not by consensus.
- wbECX is the rehearsal token. — It is 1:1 with beta pECX on the betanet chain, minted and paid out by the bridge, and tradeable against USDC and SOL on Orca now. It exists so that people who hold practice coins — including anyone below the 1,000-coin burn threshold — have a market instead of a locked-up balance.
- wECX is the mainnet claim. — 10,000 were minted and sold from the pool at $10 on 12 October; it cannot be unwrapped before the fork, because there is no real ECX to unwrap into until then. It is the token that is supposed to become 1:1 ECX after 31 October.
- Neither token is a sidechain. — A BIP-300 drivechain runs its own consensus and is secured by Bitcoin miners. This is an SPL token on Solana that somebody issues and redeems. Confusing the two is the easiest mistake to make on this page — the Solana drivechain at slot 8 is a real sidechain and has nothing to do with wbECX or wECX.
How it works, mechanically
This is the flow the project's own backend README describes. It is custodial software: whoever holds WALLET_MNEMONIC and SOLANA_KEYPAIR controls both sides of the bridge.
- You request an order on swap.beta.ecash.com. — The backend hands back a fresh ECX deposit address, unique to your order.
- You send betanet pECX (bECX) to that address. — From BitWindow or any wallet holding betanet coins. A background poller waits for the deposit to confirm — 3 confirmations were reported on 13 October — then sends amount − fee in wbECX from the treasury's token account to your Solana address. The site quotes about 10 minutes, but betanet block times have been slow enough that users have watched the clock.
- To come back, you use the Unwrap tab. — You send wbECX to the treasury with a Solana Pay reference key; the backend matches the deposit by that reference and pays ECX back from its own ECX wallet. Optionally give a refund address at order time: without one, a deposit that cannot be bridged sits for manual review.
- The bridge does not mint or burn. — It has no mint authority over the token — only control of its own treasury account — so it pays from a pre-minted balance. This is the single most important mechanical fact on this page: the peg is only as good as the treasury's inventory, in both directions.
- The pools are ordinary Orca pools. — wbECX/USDC was created on 30 September and wECX/USDC on 12 October. The guide's third step is simply creating a full-range constant-product pool and pointing people at Jupiter, which aggregates across everything.
"1. Solana - Orca Curve — Constant Product Market Maker — CPMM. This lets you swap USD-C for W_*" … "So the Orca price gives some indication of the eventual launch price on Nov 1"Paul Sztorc, Drivechain Talk, 2 October 2026
The two tokens, and what they are worth
All figures below were read on 14 October 2026 at about 10:00 UTC, from the Solana RPC (supply and authorities) and the two Orca pools (price, liquidity, volume). They move; check them again before you act on them.
- wbECX — $2.63, supply 20,049.62 — 24-hour volume about $2.0K across 53 trades; the wbECX/USDC Orca pool holds about $77.1K. Mint authority 6Av9JtnZGADBATo3uyLVC12XojJYKJhZxv578cJR2sKT, freeze authority none.
- wECX — $61.95, supply 9,999.996 — 24-hour volume about $133.8K across 1,973 trades; the wECX/USDC Orca pool holds about $547.2K. Same mint authority, same null freeze authority. FDV ≈ $620K.
- The implied price, and the gap — Beta credits 1000:20, i.e. 1 mainnet ECX per 50 beta pECX — so 50 wbECX ought to be worth about 1 wECX. On 14 October that arithmetic gives 50 × $2.63 = $131.62 implied for ECX, against a wECX price of $61.95: the mainnet token trades at roughly a 53% discount to the beta token. The eCash dashboard itself prints the implied figure as wbECX × 50. The gap has been much wider (a 17:1 ratio was being quoted on 12 October) and community members expect it to close by arbitrage in either direction.
- wECX started at $10 and was sold out fast — Paul Sztorc, 12 October: "At initial price $10, this is probably a steal! And, at initial supply of 10,000, they will probably sell out fast." It did — supply is still essentially the full 10,000, so nothing has been minted on top of the initial batch.
"Ideally, what should be supply of wrapped token? It cannot ever exceed the amount of coin actually possessed by the wrapper/dewrapper"Paul Sztorc, Drivechain Talk, 13 October 2026 — after users reported the wbECX payout wallet was empty
The risks
The project's own material is unusually candid about these. Read the code's README before you trust the peg, and read the group before you trust the price.
- It is custodial, and the keys are hot. — "This is custodial software: whoever holds WALLET_MNEMONIC and SOLANA_KEYPAIR controls the funds in both wallets. Treat both as you would any hot wallet key." There is one operator, one mnemonic, one keypair — no multisig.
- The guardrails the operators wanted are not built. — Straight from the backend README: "Not built yet: a cap on how much of total supply can be unwrapped per window (e.g. 10% per week), and splitting payout authority across multiple servers/keys (multisig) so no single one can drain the treasury. Both were flagged as needed guardrails but aren't enforced by this code."
- The mint authority is live on both tokens. — The same address can mint unlimited new wbECX or wECX at any time. Verified on-chain, not taken from a rug-check page. Freeze authority is revoked, so accounts cannot be frozen — dilution is the exposure, not confiscation.
- Payouts depend on a treasury balance that has run dry. — On 13 October, Coinholio warned "the wbecx bridge is about out of coins unless it was refilled with a new address", and ⚡️Wired4ncer⚡️ reported the payout wallet "all dried up". A peg-in can leave you waiting on a manual top-up. The pool itself has also been reported empty (8 October: "is the wbECX pool empty?").
- The beta token's redemption window closes at the fork. — ecash.com's own wrap note says of the beta token and its Orca pool: "After Oct 31, these will no longer be redeemable for real ECX." If you hold wbECX and do nothing, you are holding a token with a deadline.
- wECX cannot be redeemed before 31 October. — Paul Sztorc, 12 October: it "will NOT be possible to 'unwrap' this token, until *after* Oct 31". Until then wECX is a claim you can trade, not a coin you can withdraw.
- The wrapped rate is not the guaranteed rate. — The burn pays a fixed 1000:20. The wrapped route pays whatever the market says beta coins are worth against mainnet coins — Coinholio, 10 October: "wrapped swap will depend on market value of beta vs mainnet".
- Fees and slippage are real, and the pools are thin. — 1% each direction as shipped, on top of the DEX fee and price impact — a $77K pool moves on modest trades, and wECX's price has swung violently (one observed day ran +285% with an hourly spike and retrace). The bridge's own quote line says "Rates are indicative. Final amount confirmed at execution."
- Bugs are expected, by the operator. — The official blog quotes Paul on the 1 October launch: "a bare-bones, strictly-for-testing purposes swap service", "I'm sure there are still a lot of mistakes and/or bugs", "I think it is best to just shove something out there and see what happens to it." A user reported on 1 October that an unwrap confirmed on Solana while the order page still said "waiting for deposit".
- There is no audit and no specification. — The code is MIT-licensed on GitHub with its own README saying "cargo audit is recommended before any production deployment; it isn't run in CI here yet". Nothing about the wrap has been published as a specification on an official page.
- Impersonation is the easiest way to lose everything. — At least five eCash-named assets trade on Solana: wbECX, wECX, the alpha-era waECX, the pump.fun memecoin, and various tokens paired against them. Copycats reuse the ticker. Verify the mint address character-for-character against ecash.com/wrap_info.txt before any swap.
- The price is not information you can trust. — The project asked the group to stop posting price talk, there is no official price, and the only published sale figure is $30–$40 a coin from the private rounds. Treat every Solana price as a market on a token that may never be redeemed.
The opportunities, stated honestly
Every one of these is a reason somebody used it; none is a recommendation.
- A market before the market. — There is no exchange listing yet, and the pool is the only price ECX has. Paul Sztorc, 2 October: "the Orca price gives some indication of the eventual launch price on Nov 1"; and the project's guide calls the pool "a way of being 'listed' on the optimal exchange (a DEX), without getting anyone's permission."
- An exit for holders below the burn threshold. — The burn requires strictly more than 1,000 pECX; anyone under it was going to get nothing. Felix Ha, 1 October: "The wrapped thing makes it more accessible for alpha/beta testers who don't reach the 1000 coin burn limit." That is the single most concrete use case the wrap has.
- Arbitrage between the two tokens. — With a 50:1 mechanical relationship and two independently traded tokens, the spread is the trade — 50 wbECX for 1 wECX when the ratio is wider than 50, or the reverse. Coinholio, 14 October: "there's obviously some people holding wbECX that don't realize they can dump it and buy more wECX". This is a thin, fast, unforgiving market.
- Exposure to ECX without holding BTC. — Buying wECX on Orca is currently the only way to hold a claim on mainnet ECX without waiting for the 1:1 snapshot or mining the betanet. It is also the only way to hold it in a Solana wallet — with all the custodial risk that implies.
- The software is open, and reproducible. — The bridge, the mint scripts and the pool guide are public in the ecash-com GitHub organisation under MIT. You can read exactly what the operator is running — which is more than you can say for most pegs. Read it before you use it.
How to use it, if you choose to
Assume every step can lose money. The bridge's own README says to verify it end-to-end with small amounts before trusting it with anything that matters — start there, and do not skip step 1.
- Verify the mint addresses from the official page, not from this one. — Open ecash.com/wrap_info.txt and compare every character. wECX is 6ombVv3YMs9qpx1QkycD9XW8HKSfv7vGrCFX3cxCYMVY; the beta token is EVHqNdzjCupKi4rQkbuYw52sa1m8A7jeUAMP23S9AVVq. If a token is not on that list, it is not the official one.
- Decide which of the two you actually want. — wbECX is exposure to practice coins on a chain that stops mattering at the fork. wECX is a claim on mainnet ECX that cannot be redeemed until after 31 October. They are not interchangeable and they do not trade at the same price.
- Get a Solana wallet, and treat its seed as a separate secret. — The official swap page links Phantom and Solflare. This is a different key from your Bitcoin or ECX wallet; never import your Bitcoin seed phrase into Solana software, and never share either seed with anyone.
- To move betanet coins to Solana: Wrap on swap.beta.ecash.com. — Request an order, copy the deposit address it gives you, send your betanet pECX from BitWindow, and wait for confirmations. The quote is ~10 minutes; betanet block times can make it longer. Give a refund address if you are sending a small amount.
- To buy or sell: use Jupiter or the pool directly. — The official /trade page points at Jupiter (jup.ag), Orca and the two wallets. Trading on Jupiter directly usually beats a wallet's built-in swap, which takes a cut on top.
- To come back: Unwrap. — Send wbECX to the treasury with the reference key the order gives you. Known issue: the Solana Pay QR does not scan in Phantom's or Solflare's in-app scanner — use the phone's camera app, or tap it.
- Then deal with the deadline. — If you hold beta coins, the guaranteed route is the burn in BitWindow (strictly more than 1,000 pECX, credited 1000:20 at mainnet) and it must be done before the betanet stops mattering. If you hold wbECX, it is no longer redeemable for real ECX after 31 October, so the wrapped route is a trade you have to close, not a balance you can forget.
- If you hold wECX, wait for the mainnet bridge. — The stated plan is that it becomes 1:1 ECX after the fork on 31 October. No procedure, no page and no address has been published for that yet — when one is, check it against ecash.com and not against a chat.
What this page is not about
- The Solana drivechain (slot 8) — A BIP-300 sidechain whose execution layer is Solana, proposed by Bjørn Olav Jarlborg and live on betanet since 3 October ("1 SOL = 1 bECX"). It is a real drivechain with miner-secured peg mechanics, and it has nothing to do with the token wrap on this page.
- The $eCash memecoin — A pump.fun token the project did not create. The project treats creator fees sent to it as purchases at $30 a coin and has allocated a pool of real ECX for a one-time redemption by its top 15 holders. See ecash.com/sol-token. It is not a wrap and it is not ECX.
- waECX, the alpha-era wrapper — The alphanet had its own wrapped token (waECX, redeemable 100:1 into mainnet ECX) which traded for a few weeks around $0.92 before alpha was retired on 19 September. It is dead. Any waECX market you find now is not the same instrument.
- Third-party bridges that came and went — A community Telegram bridge (@Ecxbridge_bot, run by Coinholio) wrapped beta ECX 1:1 for a short period and had its liquidity pulled "after the official one launched on sol". It is not the official bridge and is not running now.
Read before you wrap anything
There is no official specification for the wrap and no audit. What exists is the project's code on GitHub (MIT), a note on ecash.com, a custodial service at swap.beta.ecash.com, and a Telegram group. Read the code before you trust the peg.
The bridge is custodial and its keys are hot: one mnemonic and one Solana keypair control both sides. A cap on how much can be unwrapped per window and any form of multisig were listed by the operators as needed guardrails that are not implemented.
The mint authority on both wrapped tokens is live and held by one address. Nothing stops that key from minting unlimited new supply; freeze authority is revoked, so accounts cannot be frozen.
Peg-outs depend on the treasury actually holding coins. It has been reported empty and dried up, with refills requested in the group. A peg-in that cannot be paid sits in manual review.
The beta token and its pool stop being redeemable for real ECX after 31 October, and wECX cannot be unwrapped before it. Either way there is a date attached to what you hold.
The wrapped route pays the market's rate, not the burn's rate. The burn is a guaranteed 1000:20; a wrapped exit is worth whatever the beta token trades at against the mainnet token on the day you sell.
Verify every mint address character-for-character against ecash.com/wrap_info.txt. Several eCash-named tokens trade on Solana and copycats reuse the ticker.
Do not follow wrap, swap, bridge or migration guides from random websites, videos, chats or DMs. Nobody legitimate needs your seed phrase or private key to hand you coins, and no official step in this process requires you to give one up.
